Seems more and more it's taking an excessive amount of turning over to get the big d-max running. Man this is frustrating, any ideas? I do notice it's when the trucks warmed up starts fine cold....all opinions greatly appreciated!

fuel system must develop 1400 psi min for the engine to start. normal start pressure is above 2500 psi while engine is cranking over,

It takes that much more engine spin to get the pump to deveolp the required pressure to start the engine.

You have got at least one injector bypassing, it'll get to tthe point it won't start at all.

Hope your dealer has a savvy parts guru, it is possible to get injectors without waiting 4 weeks or more.

once in a while mine will seem to start hard warm...like ill go someplace and itll only sit for a few mins...5-6tops...ill come out to start and ill have to crank it a few times(i only turn the key for 2-3secs top when starting) When i asked about it, i was told it something to do w/the glow plug cycling or something....This tho only happens once in a while, so im not overly worried...unforutnalty your situation sounds seems more serious, and is occuring more....http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif
