hoping someone will know this - my neighbor just got an '03, used, and doesnt like how it sits, he wants to lower the front about 1/2" - can that be done by using the torsion bar ? i would assume that you can just back it out x amount to required height ? does anyone have first hand knowledge here - the truck is stock, so were not dealing with green keys or different shocks

You got it. Once adjusted how he likes it, have him measure both sides to level side to side. There is a horizontal flat plate near the lower a-frame inner bolt that is used to measure for reference...

I'll add:

Bounce it and roll it between adjustments to allow tires to scrub out etc when you let it down. It will hold higher as tension between the rubber and the floor will hold it up slightly when you let it down.

thanks guys - hes turned it out about 2 full turns and the the bottom of the bolt is now showing below the housing unit - is that ok, and is there a point you get to where youve turned it out too much ? i looked at it and heres how i could describe it - if you looked under your truck along the torsion bar adjuster area, there a flat spot and the area where the bolt comes out of, the top of the bolt is visible if you look straight across from the side - is that ok ?
