You might try some of the government liquidation sites, they are selling off a lot of 6.2's. Also might look on ebay.

that is good ideia. i was thiking about replacing my 84 duallys 454 with 6.2 will it bolt up to a t-400. people i have spoken to said it will. i really do not know. if the sawp is easy i would consider it . not a motor head i will have to pay for swap. i know the 6.2 is very mechanical but ther has to be a catch somewhere.

I'll have one shortly. It's actually a running engine. Just low on compression.

The 6.2 will replace your 454. You will need the propper flex plate for a 6.2 with turbo 400. You would probably be happier right off the bat with a turboed engine. In reality, if you are going to have to pay for the install, you would be better off finding a running truck. The price of labor will knock your socks off.

thanks for responding guys. i was thinking about finding a sled pull and try and blow the motor (which i think will blow). then putting a 6.2 instead of fixing the gas. maybe i will just put in a 572. diesel is great. gas is fun too.i guess i will just see what happens.
