One more Question for all you diesel pro's out there kind of axel's do I have under my new BEAST? And what are the stock gears 6 speed 2500 ctd crew sb? I think it is 4:10 Sorry about all the dumb questions about Dodge I should have done my homework before I bought the thing but that's not my style I guess I heard too many good things about the cummins and had to buy one. And so far I do love ithttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

On my sticker it says that I have the 11.50" differential, I don't know if there's a different one offered or not.

Only 200 miles on yours? I picked mine up Friday night and it's got almost 1700 miles on it. Course, that might have something to do with the fact that I picked it up in Dallas and went to San Antonio for a day before heading back to Indiana. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Starting with 04 Dodge went to American Axle 11.5 axles. Stock gear ratio is 3.73 but you can upgrade to 4.10. The AA Axles are made by the same company that builds the axles for the Chevy/GMC heavy duty trucks.

The 3rd gen trucks did have two axles available. Trucks with the Standard Output (SO) Cummins came with the AAM 10.5" axle. The HO (555) has the 11.5" AAM. Since Dodge dropped the SO in '04 only the 11.5" lives.
