Well I lube up the ISS , yester day feels good now. I turned the stering shaft several times like a moron, look the stering wheel dosent lock. In doing so I think I screwed up somthing with the air bag systems, whent to back out of the drive way could feel here the contacts biding bendig like if you turn a washing machine selector backwards and air bag problem light is on. Any suggestions.
Thanks Scott

I was told the connection between the column and steering wheel is like a clock spring. From its relaxed state it will tighten or loosen between the steering stops. Take out the ISS and you need to loop the seat belt through the wheel to stop it from rotating. If rotated too far in either direction not good. Maybe you could try disconnecting ISS and back wheel off of the direction it binds in to more center the spring. Good luck.

No good way of getting this right. Do your best as it sits, be prepared to replace the SIR coil though.

When you go to ask for parts it's called a clockspring.... not sure on price but you have to pull strg wheel to replace
edit: there's a tab locking the spring in place while it's off the column... have strg wheel straight and slide new one on
