I am getting a duramax pretty soon and I am wanting to build a fast little daily driver with no drugs I was thinking abou the end goal being 11's. But the only reason I don't have the truck is I have not found one that I like and Im not really wanting to comprimise. The truck will be an automatic regular cab 4x4 with either an LLY or a LB7. For starters I am thinking guages, EFI Live, exhaust(uni stack), intake, fass 150gph fuel pump and a shift kit of some sort for the transmission I would like to go 12' with that combo is it possible. Then later as money permits I want to get a fully built tranny and do some more with the final goal being in the 11's with #2 only and have the truck be a daily driver still. Any suggestions on the mods or better ones let me know. what does it take to go 11's with a regular cab. What do you guys think about the EFI Live. Let me know what other go fast goodies I will need.

To be in the 11's you'll need a bigger turbo and when you get a bigger turbo you'll need more fuel so you will also need twin cp3's and then you want it all to stay together so you'll also need head stud's and rod's other than that you'll be ok. dave

Your not going to run 12's with out a built tranny.

Also, like previously stated, for 11's your gonna need the dual fuelers and bigger charger, or two of 'em:cool: . You will also need rods if you want to go 11's more than a few times.

One that works and holds together at those power levels. Choose your weapon wisely.

You will need a built trans, but I think with the right charger(s) in a light truck, you can run 11's without the second CP3.

Hey Pat how many times did you run a 11.xx pass wihout rods? I'm pretty sure rod's aren't needed until your trying to hit 10.50-10.90

I have a FASS on my 05' 95gph and a edelbrock on the 07'. I dont feel the extra money for FASS is worth it. I know a couple of people who have problem's with them. They suck the fuel out at 12psi so when you have a 1/4 tank or less it can make the fuel foam up or suck air.

no, not searching for the truck. using the search feature here. all of your questions so far have been asked, answered, and discussed many times over. most people that got their trucks into the 11's and 12's read, researched, and learned how to do so. they did not ask and get told by someone. getting your truck to scoot takes a little work, that work starts in a book(or in this case the internet). start using the search feature, then read, then begin to build your hot rod.
