Why?

The reluctor wheel on an LLY/LB7 has 57 teeth, on a 60 tooth (6 deg) pattern. The LBZ has 58 teeth.

Don't quote me, I'm going off memory. I ordered an LLY reluctor, and GM sent me a LBZ, so we had to grind it off or wait 2 weeks again.

Well, hopefully we find out this week. The reluctor wheel tells the computer what the crank position is, so it reads each tooth. On the LB7/LLY they remove 3 teeth to mark TDC, but on the LBZ, they remove only 2 teeth. My guess is the new computer is faster so it doesn't need as much gap to find TDC.

It rev's like our Z06. Instant throttle response. 1/4 throttle feels more like a 5.3 gasser than a diesel. Very quiet at idle.

Turbo whistle is more pronounced than before. Nearly as loud as exhaust. Cruising at 600 deg EGT. Boost? Who the hell knows, I have a SPA gauge which apparently is union, it works only when it feels like it.

Kat just took it out for a spin.

Est HP 310 to 340 since it's a LBZ block ;) He drives awesome :D Vegas is next weekend May 5th and 6th. McRat and Robert still have a bunch of stuff to do between now and then :cool: matter of fact I had to give Casper back to them.

It's not perfectly smooth, but Pat says it's not bad either. He went with the LBZ intake.
