anyone know what fluid should go in my transfer case? 2004 K-3500 cab chassis duramax allison. my manual has 3 options for transfer cases. i think its dextron 3.

On the rear of my T-case, near fill plug, is a quarter size tag stating what type of lube.
It should be Dex III.
It is NOT the expensive blue Auto-Trac fluid.

Definatly Dex III goes in there.

Dont get burned. I had a dumb dealer put in the expensive blue juice which is really for the autotrak tc and charge me big $$. Then when I bought a gm rebuilt tc it had a notice on the fill plug to only use atf. The dmax alli 4wd trucks have an electronically switched manual tc that uses atf only.
