Looking at an 03 LT CC that has the 6-disc Bose system but no XM feature. It looks like you can get complete head units with XM on Ebay. Any help as to what is needed to complete the install would be appreciated. I am assuming, R&R of the head unit, install of some kind of antenna and possibly dealer reprogramming would be needed. Any more detail is appreciated.

I was looking at the xm thing for my trucks the radio part is $79 than for each truck you have the mount and antana $ 65 and a FM thing $49. That lot cheaper than $350. I have to put it in 3 trucks O&A hit XM come october. They wanted 80 bucks to put it in too.

I really depends on what you want. I wanted mine to look like it came from the factory, so I went with the Soundgate PIOGM1 adapter and a Pioneer GEX910 XM only reciever. You can see pictures of this at the link in my sig. Im really happy with it. Since then GM has released the unit that Dmaxallitech showed in his link. I recommend his over the Soundgate route as it is all GM rather than an add on. It might be a little more involved on an install and a fraction more expensive but most likely worth it.

Next is the guy that needs to move his unit from vehicle to vehicle. IMHO look at the Roady 2 or the Sky Fi.

Hope this helps! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif

You have to admit trippin, it sure would be nice to be able to switch between presets from the steering wheel controls. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif I have considered upgrading to the GM unit many times. I will do it some day. Other then that my Pioneer/PIE(soundgate) Has been working good.
