I am thinking about putting a Banks 6-gun systen on my 2002 Duramax. It has an extended warranty. I'm not worried about the engine, but does anyone know if it will void the warranty on the Allison transmission?

Thanks.

More than likely. You will just need to uninstall it before you take it in.

I agree with the above, and keep in mind this uninstall process is very simple and quick.

My question is: Once the box is removed, are there any taddle tales that the techs could see in the computer? I have seen that Dodge/Cummins has some of the info that can't be cleared by a power cycle of the computer. This is the main thing that I want an answer on, before I get a chip

I wouldn't worry about it. Well I haven't heard of it happening to a GM owner.

My friend is a tech at a GM dealer. He told me they can tell if an engine has ever been chipped or modified. I'll have to wait for my tuner ...only 96k miles to go!
