It was built in 4/04 2500 ctd 4x4

As far as I know the difference is whether it has a Cummins 555 or a Cummins 600. It will say so on the dealer sticker. If it was built in 4/04 it should be a 2004.5, I think. Mine is a 2004.5 and has a 600 in it. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Hey, a question I can answer!!!! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif This one is easy -- on the driver side of the engine, near the top, there will be some stickers. On the sticker it will list the horsepower ratings. If it says 305, you have a 2004. If it says 325, you have a 2004.5.


The 2004.5 also has a slightly different turbo and the exhaust pre-muffler is 4" as opposed to the 3.5" of the 2004.
