: Mine, Mine....All Mine...
a64pilot 09-15-2004, 12:10 PM Just mailed off the last payment for the truck. Soon it will be truly mine. I know some of you can pay cash. I have in the past, but the Dmax was just too big a bite for me to take at once. Anyway now that it's paid for now maybe I can afford a tranny upgrade and continue on for the quest for more power.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif
Max Power 09-15-2004, 01:19 PM As long as there is 0% financing I will probably never own a vehicle again. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Geek.gif It must be a good feeling. It's be a while since I have completely owned a vehicle. Edited by: Max Power

BTW, can Alabama get any lower?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gifEdited by: DMAX2DAMAX
4x4man 09-15-2004, 01:46 PM 7 payments left for me thanks to extra principle payments, not that I am counting or anything. Will be my first truck I will have actually owned (out of 5) instead of trading in before payoff. In fact next month will be another record for me, keeping a truck longer than a year and nine months!!
JRZ2500HD 09-15-2004, 02:13 PM Since it is yours now, make sure it stays high and dry with Ivan coming you way. And congrats, I only have 3 1/2 years to go.

Agreed, of course I bought mine prior to the 0% financing so I was paying interest http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif. Now the Wife's SS camaro is financed for 6 yrs at 0%. I don't intend to ever sell it. It is only driven on pretty days and the 93 Z28 is the daily driver for her.
_nar_ 09-18-2004, 06:40 PM We're what now? Overloaded with payments? Yep that would be a good way to put it...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

If your talking about me, The SS is now the only thing I make payments on. The house and the farm it's on etc are paid for. Actually the wife pays for the car, it's hers. It's what she wanted to do with her money. You wouldn't believe the trouble I've run into by owning the house. When I had the power changed to my name the clerk wanted a copy of the mortgage or rental agreement. They didn't know how to handle a deed. Insurance company wanted their pay to be done in escrow when payments were made. Took them a while to take a check. etc. etc.
_nar_ 09-24-2004, 07:31 PM Naw I meant guys that farm in the desert like wyoming... Mostly just referring to myself though..
Polarbear 09-24-2004, 09:30 PM I desperatly wanted to pay it all at once, as i hate having to owe money, but was only able to put 16k down, so took a loan for 13k, at 5.45% intreset<- didnt think that was bad for being 20, got it for 4 yrs, but hope to pay it off late winter-early spring..til then its $312 a month...
Its such a good thing, that us farmers are all making out like bandits, and got such a great grain market to support us...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif
_nar_ 09-25-2004, 03:37 PM How's the water situation up there polarbear? Our problem here is we are in the 4th year of drought and it's hard to grow a decent crop with no rain and empty irrigation lakes... http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Angry.gif Half the farms we are on don't have wells, so we didn't even plant anything there this year and last.. I would have way less in payments on this truck too if I had a normal crop the last 4 years. Then the other truck would have been payed off and then the loan wouldn't have been near as much. oh well.. I hope we get lots of snow in our lakes this year...
Polarbear 10-01-2004, 09:25 PM Nar-Weve got more than enough water. Be glad to ship some out to ya....Last year was abnormaly wet, but did actually dry off for a bit latejuly-aug, before getting wet again oct, right in time for harvest....then this yr was just a total disaster....
From may right on through weve had 5-6" of rain a month, excep for aug i think that was only like 2.5-3"
Sept was going pretty dry to, then frances came through and gave us 5.25" in like 16-18hrs....hehehe yikes...
Yet some how, we managed to get the majority of our acreage in. We are light in corn,(dont think we barely broek 1000) but got more beans in 15-1600...we got all oiur cabbage in (1000) but ibet the last 150 or so wont make it, being too late...We surpringly had a farily good wheat crop. Even w/all the wetness we manged to get through w/out much sprout or "pink" wheat...
Im hopin for good snows to....
_nar_ 10-03-2004, 05:11 PM You farm way more ground than we do. Around here you only farm where
you can irrigate, so there's a lot of ground that is nice and flat but
has no wells so no farming. Very irritating really. Man that would be
different to just get rain and not have to irrigate
everything. Not sure why we even farm areas like this when it costs so
much more to farm it than it does places back east. We spend
6000-15,000 every month on irrigation wells and pivots. Seems almost
silly when you talk to guys that can hardly get in their fields all
year because of rain. Guess we just like our area so much we put up
with it.http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif I
really would hate to move anywhere else but I sure wish we could change
our weather pattern a bit. Somone needs to figure out how to do that...
