the problem; no matter what I have the control set at every so often " 10 min. to 2 weeks " it puts out max heat, it does not turn the fan up or down, it just starts kicking out as much heat as it can even if it is set on the coldest ac setting. Shut the truck off, and do an instant restart or wait a day and every thing works for 2 min to what ever and it starts the same routine again. Out of warranty on miles. The dealer is telling me that it COULD be one of 3 actuator motors. This sounds a little like we dont know but if we replace enough stuff and I pay we might cure the problem. Has not thrown any codes. Any ideas????? Painter

I have the manual dual climate control and my drivers side does the same thing, it will be on some temp, even as cold as she'll go and then it gets hot. Passengers side seems fine. I usually just shut it off and turn it back on and its okay. One of these days I'll get around to fixing it. I also hear a strange noice that kind of sounds like an acuator always trying to move. Oh and the fan vibrates funny at low speed. Really not that impressed with the HVAC on these trucks!

Question for the original poster. Does this Max heat occur on both sides or just on one side? Let me know,
Roger
I have the exact same problem with my HVAC as well. It's the same on both sides.

One of my '05's had the electronic temp controls. I had nothing but problems with the heat being on vs. A/C when I needed it for quite a few times. Finally the stealership replaced the controls that operate the dampers & it's been OK since.
