<DIV>Several weeks ago I installed a Transfer Flow 56 gallon under bed fuel tank.</DIV>
<DIV>Several weeks before that (not knowing that the Transfer Flow thing would come up) I put in a pre -OEM fuel filter (the basic Racor from Lubrication Specialist) . </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The filter had to come out as it was right in the way of the new tank--bummer, but I wanted the extra gallonage!</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Anyone have any ideas if the filter can be remounted anywhere? Or should I just try and sell it ?</DIV>

I made a bracket and mounted my filter in the second alternator position. I didn't use the Racor kit, just a WIX filter head, some Parker fittings, a Baldwin BF7633 filter and some hose to plumb it between the injector controller and the OEM filter. But you probably could make a bracket and mount the Racor there also.

I know that was a problem for me to solve also and one of the reasons I went with an in bed tank setup; I remember someone on here put the filter on the outside of the frame rails and plumbed it over the rail and between the bed. I will look back in my notes and see if I can remember who did it because they had pictures posted of it on the outside of the rail.

Doug,
I just looked through my notes and 4x4man has his cat filter mounted on the outside of the frame rail. You should be able to do a search for him and look at his pictures.
I also just ran out and looked under my truck and you should be able to just turn that bracket around and bolt it into the same place and put the filter set up on the outside of the frame rail. You might need some longer fuel hoses to plumb it in but I bet if you check with Greg he would be willing to make them up for you and send them to you. I know when I thought about the Transfer Flow tank for a while I had asked him about it and he told me he could do it for a few bucks. With the stuff in the fuel, we definitely want to keep it filtered real good!

you might be able to make a bracket and mount it where i put mine. it doesn't get in the way of a transferflow tank or anything else. making a bracket should be too hard and it would be higher than mounting it on the frame...

Any plans to offer your Racor kit with a mount for the 2nd alternator spot?
