I was wondering how much everyone thinks a junk allison is worth as a core. A friend has a allison out of an lb7 that I would like to buy it so I can build one, and have zero down time without my truck.

From what I have read it's no big deal making an lb7 allison work in an lly, so now I am just trying to figure out what is a fair price.

I think Suncoast nocks off a grand for a core on a SCV trans.!!

Just depends on the condition of the trans that your buying from your friend, Suncoast pretty much just rebuilds them and thats why they want the core. So if you think about it your just buying someone elses trans that has been completely gutted and rebuilt.

I am planning on doing a suncoast 3 or 4 myself and thats why I was considering purchasing this trans.

I was just wondering how much people generally pay for a allison as a core.

Core Allison transmissions run around $900 and you get what you get from the core suppliers.

Core is worth $2700 for GM. Warranty deal though.
