i bought my high idle kit from PPE the cost was like 37 bucks after shipping, however it retained a factory look so thats why i went with them, people on here have made there own kit for under 1.00. all in what your looking for. i bought my kit for cold winter months, so the heater would warm up faster.

I believe you should search/ask about this in the EFI Live subforum.

I've done it on my truck last december. If you spend winter where it'S cold. it defenitely worth it.

A buddy of mine done it too. He gave me all the info nedded (He find it here somewhere on the forum).

It cost me mabye 2 $ plus 2 hours of my own time. Not Rocket sciense to do, just make sure when you plug your pin in the ECM to push it far enough.

Me, their is no switch. I took my power from one of the source on the brake pedal switch. One of those wire only have power when it's in ''PArk''. So you don't have to worry about forgettin it on.

Very very usefull. My friend even program it on is FM remote starter, so in can play with the iddle from inside.

Get a good look on the forum, you will find all the info you need.

GM has a way to do the high idle switch, it takes a few things to do it and you can do it yourself or the dealer can as well, you need to order the PTO switch that goes in the dash right next to the air bag switch,(wiring should be behind there from the factory) then you have to add a wire from under the fuse panel to your PCM on a certain pin(i can give it to you if you want) and then if you can get a hold of the Tech 2 then u have to set some parameters in the pto options, there is a internet site to get some of the info too. this is how i did mine and you can set the idle from 800-2200rpm's and it works also with the cruise control switch too.
