I have an '04 LLY CC 4x4 and had the dealer install 285's before I picked up the truck. I now have about 16000 miles on the truck and pretty much from day one when I'm making a left turn at low rpm, the power steering pump whines and steering becomes hard for a split second.


Has anyone else experienced this? Why is it only left turns? Dealer says it's because of the bigger tires but I don't think that a $50k truck should do that.

its the steering box.as it was described to me, its the box that determines the ratio of the steering. my 8.1 DRW did same thing. as did my 03 z71 tahoe. had the box replaced on both at same time. problem fixed. my friend has a 03 SB D/A CC 2500hd and told the dealer his was doing same thing. told them what i had done and now his is fixed too
