I replaced my glow plugs the other day and one of the wires was not long enough to plug it in through the metal shield on the pass side......i cut it and extended it with regular wire that I got from autozone.....maybe 14 ga.....i then wrapped it with electrical tape.....will this be ok??? thanks for any help

I would suspect it would be OK, was soldered and heat shrunk?

The tape may dry or lose it's adhesion with the heat.

neither I just crimped on a connection to extend it
