My cousin just bought an 07 Classic. My question is - Were any Classic's made after Jan. 07? If so, I'm guessing they would be required to have the DPF or are the DPF's only on the new body style?

I beleive that the DPF is only on the LMM (New body style). The classic has the LLY engine.

Actually, the '07 classis has the LBZ without a DPF. It is only the new body style LMM that has the DPF.

our truck is a 2007 classic with a build date of 1/07 and it is an lbz and it has no DPF

There were Classics built after 1/07 with the LBZ without DPF. It didn't matter when the truck is built, the engine has a build date before 1/07. That's why Classics can be had without the DPF and have a build date after 1/07. Chris

The LMM with the DPF didn't start getting built until late January for the regular and extended cabs and late Febuary for the crew cabs. Everything built prior would have been a 07 classic with the LBZ and no DPF.

OK, it is clear now. For some reason I had been under the impression that everything after 01-01-07 had to have the DPF which is the reason for only using ULSD.
