I was asking about BD power ,but would be interested in comments about either.

Ill probably get a suncoast ,that seems to be the one everyone runs.

Is that because of quality , the price , or availability, or maybe driveability.

From what I have heard they really don't do much of anything to the converter. They put in a slighly bigger disc I believe it to be .01" bigger than stock. This was all a little while ago now so it may have changed by now or I could be wrong. From talking with TTS the stock converter is a good converter it just doesn't get enough pad contact. So if BD isn't machining it to get more contact it not much more than stock.
Try calling BD and tell them what you are doing. They told me they rate it for aprox. xxx hp "like 400'ish" but guys are using them up xxx hp "650'ish" it's been a while sence I talked to them and looked at converters so the numbers may be off but that what I remember.
I did go with a cheaper converter to start with and well lets just say you get what you pay for, didn't last 10,000 miles what a waiste of money! If you want to only do it once I would spend the money and go with a good name converter, ie. ATS, Suncoast, TTS they all make good products ranging from around $1000 for single disc to $1300'ish for tripple disc.
