Do I need a pre fuel filter on the LLY like everyone talks about on the LB7?

The OEM filters are pretty close in spec. You wanna take the chance?

Personally, when I get off my butt, I will install the nictane kit that it sitting in my back seat.

Dennis,

You keep putting off that install and you'll be out "Cruising" again before it gets done...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

Might do it this weekend. No papers due or anything. . . Hopefully the SD tie rod ends will show up and I can do those too.

I installed the Racor pre-oem filter kit for the Duramax, 2 micron with a heater and water sensor. I chage the filter about every 6,000 miles.

Im getting ready to do the Racor pre-OEM that dmacy has as well. Just waiting for it to come in from Oregon Fuel Injection.

FASS has a lift pump. If your planning to "stack" and go for some crazy horsepower, FASS may be a better option, however, a pre-OEM such as Racor of Nictane will work just fine, and is much much cheaper. Your not going to need a lift pump if your just going to run stock or a juice/attitude.
