Any of you ever run into an odd suspension squeek? Its only at low speeds doing things like turning into driveway (slight angle). I can also reproduce it standing next to bed shaking truck with my hands. Almost sounds like the front of the rear leaf springs. Driving me nuts...

Took mine in for the same exact symptoms. They are replacing the left rear leaf spring assembly. You can see where it is rubbing metal v metal on the front "eye" of the leaf spring. 12k miles btw.

i get body rumbles whenever i am on unpaved roads with potholes and irregularities....i lubed all the rubber components with ruglide..seemed to quiet things down quite a bit.

and all this time i thought it was my step bars.

i accually went out took them all apart bought all new rubber and washers(ya you try and find a 4 inch washer with a half inch hole) and it didnt help granted i only spent 5 and change it did not help. but now when u step on my steps they dont move an inch before they used to go down allot.

mine wil be going in soon for the 15,000 check up i will report this.

I could jump up and down on my rear bumper and it would make an aweful noise. It's all good now after replacing the left rear spring assembly.

TexMudder mine started doing the EXACT same thing a few months ago at 15K miles. They said there was a TSB on this and they replace the plastic pieces in the spring pack and that still didn't fix it. new rear springs I guess. Damn annoying when pulling in the driveway!

Mine did the exact same thing. Took it to my dealer 3 times to repair......kept changing 4 plastic things on lower leafs....broke every time within a day. Took to another dealer and the put on 4 square rubber blocks like they put on 1/2 tons for spring slap and problem has been fine for last 40K.

Eric sells a set of spring slapper protectors (that's the technical
name) pretty cheap. I swapped mine out in about 2 minutes.
The new ones are awesome, and they ain't comin' off no matter what.

I have seen the spring protectors mentioned above. While I am sure those will work for other applications, I have a real tough time beleiving that will fix my problem. With the truck completely stopped I can grab the front of the bed on the drivers side and shake the truck. I get that annoying squeek. The post above about replacing the spring makes sense as it sounds like its coming from the front eye of that spring pack.

Of course now I have another noise up front. Sounds almost like a tie-rod is loose when I hit small bumps at low speeds.

Mine also had the noise in the front end. Took into my dealer and they said it is the brake pads once worn moving in the caliper....I thought yeah right. They put on a front pad spring clip kit to hold the pads tight against the caliper......problem solved! Buddy of mine had the same thing done.
