I was wondering if someone out there has seen the sunroof CF5 on the new style 2007 2500HD CrewCab version. I like the sunroofs in the Suburan and Avalanches that allow the sunroof window to retract down and into the headliner. Has GM gone back to this design or is is like the ones in Classic 2500HD Crewcabs?

I have seen text like this but seems vague on the crew cab side as to what it is exactly.

A large, power-operated sunroof is available on extended and crew cab models. The crew cab sunroof has a tilt/slide design, with a sliding sun shade and express open/close feature. The extended cab sunroof uses a spoiler-type sunroof design that slides back over the roof surface. Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist provides audible warnings of objects behind the vehicle.

In the crew cab it is the same as the Tahoe/Suburban. Drove one two weeks ago.

Thanks that is what I wanted to know. So the CrewCab version retracts down and into the head liner and the Extended cab version pops up and slides back over the cab.

One more question on the sunroof. Is the slide cover solid or perforted screen mesh type?

Solid cover. As far as the extended cab, I can not say.
