I'm looking to purchase a set of chrome/stainless steel nerf bars for my crew cab. Any opinions?

Anyone have a set they are looking to get rid of, send me a PM.

I have Westins on mine. This is the second truck these have been on. Still look like new. I put a coat of wax on them before and after winter, seems to help them.

Westin has Signature and Platinum Series. The Signature Series is carbon steel (can rust, 3 year warranty) and the Platinum Series is stainless steel (won't rust, lifetime warranty). However, Nasta is currently the ONLY brand that sells 100% stainless steel including the mounting hardware.

I spaced my factor bars out two inches so you could actually put your foot on it without rubbing your shoes up against the rocker panels . Only concern I have is they do stick out past the wheels a bit .

I have "Nasta" nurf bars on mine. Stainless steel ovals black steps. They were on my '04 1500 silverado, I now have a 07 2500 HD Extended cab. They fit great and still look great. They are in a little tight on my body, but it is likely due to the fact that they are for the 1500. I have had these bars for ~ 2 years and I haven't noticed any chipping, possibly due to the front mud flaps. I think they were about $400 with shipping, its been a while though. Try googleing them for the best deal.

westin platinums here! love um but they were over $400 bucks so they're not cheap but in most opinions the best looking and built ones out there.

I have run the Westin Platinum series "nerf bar" style boards on every Silverado I owned. I have run them through the salt on the roads in the midwest and through the deicer liquid used out here on the west coast. These still look brand new after 3 years and 70,000+ miles.

As I've said before, if I had it to do over again, I'd get wheel to wheel. I wish I had the step to help access the front of the bed.

Two of my friends recently installed stainless steel Buffalo bars. Very nice nerf bar that can be had for $219 shipped to your door currently from www.truckaddons.com (http://www.truckaddons.com) They also have 18 other brands including Nasta, Putco, & Westin.

Westin's I know are top quality. My dad has the Platinums and they have 5 years on em and still clean up like new. They dont get waxed and babied either.

I have a buddy that has a set of Wildcat Flashes on his truck and they are about 2 years old and look good still.

Im going to try a set of the polished Stainless Bully's with the LED strip in em... Im thinkin thats gonna look sweet at night!
