I was talking with scrufdog and canadiandiesel and they said to put 18:1 pistons in my 6.5L diesel. I was just wondering how much power i will get with those and how much they should cost? Thanks, 6.5driver

well canadianrigger makes enough to light up 35's so theres a huge power potential w/ 18:1's. as far as cost, im wondering that as well. ive seen the potential of 18:1's and want to rebuild my 6.5 when i detonate mine. i know you will probably want to run a bigger turbo and you will need an ic for that.

18:1 pistons by themselves won't give you more power. what they do is allow you to run more fuel and boost without hurting your engine. That's where you get the extra power.

To put this out in the open, I have no where near a stock setup.

The block, crank, heads, rods and pistons are all 2005 parts, all new and redesigned.

The short block, a $6000.00 short block from peninsular with a set of $1000.00 new heads from GM.

My turbo is a HX35W from a 2000 Dodge HO cummins. My own 3" Downpipe.

The computer is totally stock and the truck totally hauses donkey.
