I'd say anywhere's between $1300-1600 just for the parts, installation is on you. A SC III should have no problem up to 500hp, but I've heard of them handling 550-600 without even flinching. Actually, I've only heard of a couple cases in which a SC III couldn't hold the power being put into it. Again, $2,500-2,700 installed is a little low... Expect to drop $2,200-2,400 for the parts, plus $800-1,100 for the install, if you choose not to do it yourself... In my oppinion, if you're going to pay that much for a tranny upgrade, go with the SC IV; its roughly $500 more. Worth it, if you're going to go to all the trouble yourself or spend all the money to have someone drop and rebuild your tranny... If you get a PPE, VA, Quad, or go EFI you will most likely overpower it and have to open her up again. It has no lock-up clutch. It will fit a 400TH. | ||
