Can anyone recommend a good tech in the Raleigh, NC area?

Ya don't have to many chioces, Ya got Sir Walter, have no idea who the tech(s) there are, or what they know.

Have been Told Chris Lieth doesn't work on the 'Max, but this was from a very biased tech who just left there.

Have no idea if Thompson GMC has a diesel tech or not ( or if they'll work on a Chevy, not supposed to do warranty work on "the other brand ")

What do you need ? general service, or you got impending injector issues ?

I prefer Bobby Murray for sure. I have bought my last 4-5 trucks there. I have 69,000 miles on it and have the surging idle or miss deal going on. I am guessing fuel pressure regulator from what I have read here.


I am heading to Canada in a month and would like to get it checked out for any potential injector issues as well.


If I swing by there would you have time to go for a quick spin?

Man, been so long since I have seen anything else wrong with Duramax, I have to think about how to diag anything other than injectors ( I have done 4 trucks in the last 3 weeks )

I could do a lunch thing with my on code reader ( shows the important codes, if anything of interest shows you could schedule an apt. )

Is possible the surge is an injector issue as well.

Does it seem to take a little longer to crank than it used to ?

Out of curiosity, was this truck purchaced at BMC ? just wondering if I have seen the truck before.

You probably want go this far but Greensboro at Terry Labonte Chevrolet has real good service and they know what to do as well.
