1) On ebay I see replacement AC delco inline fuel pumps for diesels with the 6.5 and newer trucks, any reason that I couldn't replace the lift pump on my '84 K5/6.2 diesel with one of those? They seem more reliable and it has been suggested to me that maybe thats what going on my truck. Will it produce the correct pressure?

2) Can a newer injection pump (stanadyne) be swapped onto an older ('84 6.2) engine? As far as newer I'm talking about 94+, the stanadyne's equipped with PMD's.

3) any better books about the 6.2 and 6.5 family than the crappy 80-87 chevy truck chiltons?

If you rebuilt your 6.2 with 19:1 pistons, WG-turbo vacuum pump wiring harness and ecm then yes, you could make a 6.2 block run an DS-4 set up but the DB-2 makes power cheaper.

i have a '72 k/5 blazer I would like to put a DS-4 and 4L80E in. Full convertible Turbo-diesel.Edited by: quantum mechanic
