Every truck is different. Also other aspects such as: City, Interstate, Highway, Towing, Load in Bed, etc... Way to many variables.

Mine has 68000 mi. on it. Stock with 265 BFG's and it gets 13 to 15.5 in city (means no freeway at all, and stop lights every half mi.) empty. It gets 19.9 ( at 78 to 84 mph. on highway) last summer,4000 mi. trip, 2 passengers, 2 dogs, and long bed full of crap,(which I call empty) no load, and it gets between 11.5 and 14.5 towing a 6000 lbs. trailor. Hope this helps.

First of all, you need to fill out your signature so that we can see what you are running and your truck set up.

With my current setup (see below), I am getting 15 mpg city and 17-18 highway(freeway).

With my LB7 I average 17/18 mpg in town and 21/22 mpg on the highway. Empty of course... Truck is 100% stock and has over 72,000 miles on it.

I average 15.5mpg combined. My daily commute is 22 miles each way, 17 highway and 5 city.

I do have a problem with a heavy right foot thanks to Tony (GMC-2002-Dmax):D

I've only gotten 15+ mpg once going down the highway empty at 65. Most of my "driving" is towing":

5000 lb. trailer ==> 13 mpg or so
13,000 lb. trailer ==> 9 mpg or so

Truck has about 68,000 miles and has been almost trouble free.

40k on the motor 14mpg average, 10 towing 10k. dually crew cab long bed and a heavy foot. This last tank was around 8mpg, wife was driving on level 4 all week. I think she likes it..... Gotta make time to put the banks big head on to get er' to 32psi hear its' a 'boost'........... mpg will probably suffer for a month after that......

I found that a load in the bed doesn't make that much difference with a diesel.
