Yesterday I was having problems....I got a static/distortion through my speakers while listening to music on my ipod. I would pause the song and it was still there. Tried turning the ipod off and back on, tried unplugging the ipod, tried switching modes on the factory head unit and it would go away then...but whenever I switched it back to AUX, it would still do it. Tried listening to a CD and it was fine. So, I unplugged the connecter on top of the USA SPEC module (the one that goes to the head unit) and plugged it back in and it went away....

This happened 3 or 4 more times yesterday. I also tried unplugging the RCA cables on the interface and that didn't work either...only thing that would work is that top connecter.

One more thing to note...is that when I would unplug that top connecter, it would still make that static until I plug it back in...

Does this sound like a problem with the USA spec unit itself?

Thanks!

Not sure this helps your problem but I have an after market head unit and I plug my IPOD through my DVD unit and it does the same exact thing when its on AUX. You can still here the feed when its not plugged into AUX.
It gets worse when the IPOD is plugged into the charger as well.

I know we have different setups but its the same problem. Not really sure what you can do.

Do you have the IPOD interface for your truck? (I dont know what the USA Spec unit is? Is that the IPOD module?)

Well, I've been running this set up since December and haven't had any problems.... It's not an actually ipod "interface," it's an AUX interface...so I control everything from the ipod. I've never had any static/noise like this before.

I had the exact same problem with the PAC AAI-GM24. I sent the unit back and there is supposed to be a updated unit coming out.

I have the USA Spec SVG-707 DVD Audio Interface and it's silent. If it's your box, try moving it, grounding it or checking your power and ground wires to it before you go through the trouble of pulling it out and sending it back. Maybe it's picking up interference somehow.
