OK gang, just got 5k on my 04.5 LLY - and I believe it's time to replace the spin on ally filter.

I checked the DIY forum, and didn't see anything there - and I don't feel like getting bent over by the stealer for a 10 minute job. So, can someone help a brotha out?

I sure could use some instructions (and/or pictures) of exactly what I need to do to change out this filter.

(BTW - the fuel filter is next)

Thanks gang. if I can tackle it during the daylight, maybe I'll take pictures and make a DIY for the next guy behind me.

It is one of the simplest things to do ,change the Allison spin on.

Go here http://www.vicinity.com/allisontrans/startprx.hm to find a Allison dealer in your area. If your not in a hurry or looking to stock up and or purchase other items for your Duramax check out the DieselPlace vendors here http://dieselplace.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=7935&PN=1 .
