I replaced the output shaft seal on my transfer case a few weeks ago and the thing leakes worse than the OEM. I prepped the shaft and made sure everything was square. I used a seal from Advance Auto, which was a little different from the original.


Question - who makes a good seal?

go and get one from the dealer. Is doing it twice worth the money you may have saved?

What is your opinion on installing the seal with the weep hole pointed up?


I'm suprised there isn't a HD seal, unless people are just eliminating the slip yoke altogether. Not sure if the upgrade is available on the NV 246.
