While driving home last night in rush hour traffic I got a dead spot on acceleration. It seems when I push the pedal down it all of the sudden surges. I tried to operated the vehicle in traffic and discovered that below 1500 rpm it felt like the drive was cut. So from idle to 1500 rpm there is a big dead spot where it seems like either the torque converter or trans is not engaging or that the engine is not sensing the throttle?? Please help!!:o:

I'm no expert but change your fuel filter. That helped me.

The fuel filter has been changed within the last 1,000 miles.

Did you try going back to the stock ecm setting?

Sounds like a trans problem or the throttle position sensor.

Mine does this too even before I went with Edge. See you have a programmer too. A fresh filter sometime helps but with the negative pressure fuel system, sometimes theres not enough there on tap.
Its fairly common (search "truck falls on face"). Lift pumps help, but I'm not that annoyed with it yet, but they're on the list of next-to-get.

Im not saying thats your problem at all but an fyi, it only takes one load of bad fuel, or fuel that has been jsut delivered by a tanker (stir the tank) and hten you pull in to get crud and fill these filters. These new filters filter down pretty fine, an doesnt take much " crud to fill them".
