The fuel filter on the left is the factory filter with 10,262 miles on it. The filter in the middle has 14,814 miles on it, with my Racor pre-OEM added about half way thru that. The filter on the right that I just changed this afternoon has 20,386 miles on it.

Looks like my Racor pre-OEM is doing a good job. I hate to keep changing my OEM fuel filter at 20k miles when it doesn't really need it, but I'm concerned if I have any warranty problems, GM or a dealer might question my fuel filter change intervals. Comments?

DF,

Hey, changing it often is cheap insurance! You should have seen mine at 10000 miles! Your's are CLEAN compared to mine.

I know, I know. Changing the fuel filer is a pain in the rear, though. I'd rather take the twenty dollar bill I spent on the fuel filter, & light a cigar with it! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

What Bac said mine with the lift pump are dirty to the top with 10 to 12k miles.

Thanks JK for the Megahttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Thumbs Up.gif as I'd hate to rely on the one puny stocker to do the job!

Come on there Deadfurrow; it ain't that bad. I'm an old fat guy and I remove the inner wheel well liner and it's real easy. You'll love yourself the next morning!

Are you using a 10 or 2 micron pre-filter? 60 or 90?

I agree after seeing my stocker with 10,000 on it. Nicktane did a great job and the stocker looked real good. Warranty issues are a concern though and I will just keep changing it for now.

I change the stocker from the top. Just remove the WIF wire, drain and use a strap wrench to losen. I can pull mine up past the A/C stuf with minor difficulty. Takes me about 15 minutes.

I would venture to say, that if you had a problem, and they pulled the filter and saw that it was clean, they would not bother to even ask you when it was changed last.
