Hey guys... good news I bled my filter and it quit surging! :D Ok, that has nothing to do with this thread... Haha, but lets get on with this... What do you guys commonly use for additives... Ive heard some talk of 2 cycle oil and diesel kleen, and Ive also heard of people putting transmission fluid in diesel fuel too. I want to know what is a good healthy item to keep my great ol' truck running as good as it always has. So if you guys like to mix it up with additives let me know what your using, and if you don't mind, the side effects too (lots of smoking, more power, etc). Thanks guys you are the best!

Stanadyne has a line of performance and lubricity enhancing additives I just started using it. I notice a difference. And my bro who has a duramax buys it by the case and swears buy it.

Where can you pick this stuff up at? hehe, noticed your signature, Id hope you get better gas mileage with your diesel because it shouldn't be burning very much gas at all! Haha

A lot of people also reccomend putting 2stroke oil in, search around for the proper ratio.
Also use Stanadyne. Haven't had any problems...

I have a 2007 lbz classic that I add 5oz of stanadyne performance and 3oz of stanadyne lubricity formula with every fill up (26gals). I pre mix them in 4, 12oz containers (the kind with the long neck) that formerly held automotive fuel injector cleaner. This way I can keep them in the truck with me without fear of them spilling or leaking. When I fill up I just open a container and add it to the tank and I'm good to go. Works for me................George H
