I recently sold a member here my AMP research extenda-bed. I couldn't use it because of my tonneau cover. Anyway, it fit when it came off my truck (2006 GMC 2500 Sierra) a year ago but now it will not fit on his truck (2007 Chevy 2500 Silverado Classic) We have both measured the opening and have come up with the same numbers. Something just doesn't add up.

I would be much appreciative if someone would snap a picture and take a measurement with their installed extenda-bed. I really can't remember how it was installed.

I just bought the same unit from a fellow that got it with his '06. It seemed like it was 1/2" too wide for my '07 but I just gave it a little squeeze and it fits perfectly. Is he trying to Install the brackets on the wrong stud? Sounds like you guys are in two different places. He may just be looking for a way to get you to take it back.

Come on guys... I really need a picture of the factory bed extender installed in a late model GMC or Chevy.

Oh i had one of those. it fit fine until one day it just seemed tight. if you force it in it will fit just fine.

The factory bars are adjustable. Just loosen the screws. Also, a spray-in bed liner makes the width opening slightly narrower.

I am the guy that purchased the xtender. I DO NOT want him to take it back. We are just trying to see what is going on. Thanks for the pics.
