I have a 2004.5 LLY - just went through a 3 week repair with 8 new injectors and a new FPR, and I still think I have fuel punp issues. Dealer said that it was bad fuel that caused the problems, but did everything in warranty.

Mechanic told me that when he removed the injectors, that the o-rings fell apart or had turned to mush. I did some research and found this: http://www.chevron.com/products/prod...tb_2005Aug.pdf. SM at dealer told me that this was an issue for the fuel stations, not GM. I said that it is a Federal mandate that the fuel companies are complying with for ULSD, and with that, I told him that vehicle manufacturers need to step up and do the same by covering fuel systems for a longer period of time because of potential damage by future new mandated fuels.

What do you all think? How would we get GM to also stand behind our equipment if it fails because of a Federally mandated fuel change, as Chevron suggests?

It may be a quality fuel issue (doubt itd ruin that much unless yoru fuel filter was lettign it all through), but many trucks running on usld w/o those problems
