How long are the SES messages retained in the tranny computer. My dealer said that they couldn't get the code off the trany computer because it had been cleared. Onstar was called when the light came on and gave us the error number. Should they be able to diagnose it from that number or do they need an active SES light to be able to see the exact reason?
Onstar said it was a Power Tran Control 1025 error, if I remember correctly.
thanks
