Sorry if this is a redundant post but I couldn't find anything on a search... I have an Edge Juice Box 4.61 90hp version. Can it be upgraded to a HOT version or is it too old? Thanks

I think you need an attitude box to get the true HOT (145hp)version. I think the hot-non attitude version is the 125hp. Call JK, he can hook you up with whatever power you want. He did all my juice upgrades including my first box in 2002! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Yes you can upgrade the box to hot. It is still considered a hot box without that attitude. Forced Induction is correct, without the attitude it will be 125 and with it will be 145 claimed (160-180 actual).

If you are just looking for 125hp you could also just add an attitude to your box. To me this would be money better spent. You will still need your juice box upgraded though.

How much for Attitude? Since I have the Hot version already do I need to buy the attitude for the 145?

Yes you need the Attitude for the highest HP version. The Attitude has five levels instead of just the four levels on the Juice alone. It also offers you the ability to adjust low boost fueling, and you can eliminate the defuel on shifts, which should be wonderful with your Stage III...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif

You need to make sure your Juice box has the connection for the Attitude first. If not, you'll have to get it upgraded. Then the Attitude is somewhere around $150.00 IIRC, but one of the vendors could tell you for sure.

OK- upgrade my 4.61 to a box with a plug port for the Attitude- how much roughly does this cost? Will the stock tranny deal with it?

Isn't there a VA 150hp box? Aren't these essentially rebadged Edge boxes?

Yes it does have the ability to connect to the attitude. It is only 6 weeks old.

Trace,

Yes you'll need an upgrade, IIRC the version 4.73?, is the Attitude capable Juice. The vendors here should be able to get you pricing on the upgraded module and the Attitude, or I think you can go direct to Edge for that...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif

There is a rebadged Edge out there, but I don't remember who's it is...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

edit info:

I forgot, NO your stock trans will not take the Hot Juice on level 5 or the 150 VA. Concensus of opinion around here is that you better stay under 90 HP running empty and about half that loaded if you want a stock trans to live.

Ben,

Yep, the Attitude is all you need if you've already got the hot version with the Attitude plug on it.Edited by: Zeeb

Ben,

You ought to touch bases with either Kennedy or Edge, verify the Juice box configuration and software version, then buy your Attitude.

Set the Attitude to no defuel on locked shifts, Level 5, low boost fuel to 5, and go break in that Suncoast...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Everyone who's done it says it takes the Ally a bit to learn that level and no defuel, but once it does, well the 145 HP increase is generally a really conservative figure with most users getting a chunk more than that on the dyno.

I would say it's a little better than 145HPhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif
