I have a very tired injector pump on my 6.2L suburban which needs replacing. It is a model DB2829-4701. Can this be replaced with a DB2829-4502? What is the main difference between all the different models of these DB2 pumps? Is there a list of them somewhere with their specifications?

Going from a 4701 to a 4502 pump would be reverse superceding for one thing. I'm not familiair enough with those two pumps in particular to really say exactly what the difference is. If the pump is in fact in good working order, it should work fine, those are both pretty old models and not a terrible amount of changes back then.

Can you tell me more about the setup you are running, concerning specifically the veggie end of things, filter, tank size & location etc. I've got an 88 1/2 ton 2wd that I've got about 2000 veggie miles on. It's great not having to buy fuel, but it seems I'm spending more keeping up with non-veggie related expenses that crop up after buying a 16 yr old 200k truck. In any case I'd like to hear about your experiences.
