I have done a search in this forum but still can't make up my mind. Anyone please give their 2 cents worth. Any and all comments welcome. I just want to add alittle more power for now.

Which one smokes the most?

Which one raises the fuel pressure?

Do a search...... the higher Hp boxes smoke more but may hurt your tranny......

The edge box smokes some on level 4 and alot more on level 5......

I have not run the pred, hypertech, or powerpup...

My Juice/Attitude smokes on level 3, with low boost fueling on 5, and defueling on all locked shifts.

It's not a freight train, but it smokes, especially when rolling into it right after the 1-2 shift or at lower boost/RPM roll ons.

I love the Juice/Attitude, but I have NOT owned or ridden in any trucks that have anything else, so my opinion is based on very limited experience.

If you aren't sure, try the Juice, you could always add the Attitude later, or just wait to install it. If you don't like it, send it back. My guess is, you'll be installing the Attitude pretty soon thereafter.

Either of the 3 will work well.

Have tried almost everything but the predator (because of the semipermanent vin lock)

Currently I am using CJAT And BullyDog Pup 155

Vanaaken Box Stack# to follow.

I need to try the Pup in my own truck first, but if it is anything like the other variety (left coast) of the same software format, it won't be in my truck for long. I've used a lot of different programs, and I can't STAND the nasty timing of some.

Predator is well worth looking into, and an outstanding value with the scan feature included. I use one on mine from time to time, and always use the tire size feature. I set it as 290/75/16 to get the best accuracy with my particular 285's...

Predator is impressive and feature-rich for the price. Seems comparable or better than 6-gun, powerwise (for street playing). EGT's are impressive, too, though, and mild to moderate smoke. Edited by: jonb

Does the pup have the monitering and dtc reading features like the predator?

Nobody has real scan tool function like the Predator. I think many get confused thinking a code reader is a scan tool...

I have the Predator and I love it. I had a test hypertech vs. predator. Do a search on that or view posts by dmaxfan to find it. I never have tried the powerpup so I can't help you there. Good Luckhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Hug.gif

You can't go wrong with the Predator.

The latest version 1.11 is so smooth and powerful, you have the diagnostics and live data. I got mine from Ebay for $344 shipped.

Trust me, I took my sweet time before deciding and just could not justify paying double the money for the competition with all the other options I still need to buy. (Bilstein, lift etc etc)

Keep in mind the more expensive units provide tranny protection, in my case I keep it on the the 40HP for towing most of the time and once in a while 65HP for city which is a lot more that I need.

If you can...... buy from a Diesel Place sponcer. John Kennedy is a good example, he just posted. Give him a call and see what he has to say about it. It would be better to pay him more and get service in the future than "going cheap" and not gettting the service you WILL want. He is a sponcer and helps pay the bills on The Diesel Place.

Just something to think about...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif
