I don't think that $250 is such a great price for your hitch, I paid $129.95 + $25.00 S&H for my Putnam XDR class V hitch delivered to my door. I bought mine from Southwest Wheel. I had it in 3 days, very good service.

I also replaced my failed GM hitch with a Putnam XDR Class 5 hitch; I checked the Putnam web site and called them and they gave me a dealer only 1 hour from my house and they shipped to me in 1 day for $149 + sales tax (6%). That company does not have a web site but they do have a big catalog! The Putnam is holding up very well for being used heavily pulling 10-12,000 lbs every weekend! I would have gone with Southwest wheel but the 3 days shipping was the issue.
