got another tuner question here... but i just read something that the makers of the predator say not to tow with it. so it got me thinking what other ones are you not suppose to tow with?? i quess i just assumed that they all had tow modes with them.

They advise not to tow heavy (IIRC over 6K) with any tune higher in HP than their "Tow Tune", which in the case of the LLY is +40 HP over stock. It's not a blanket "don't tow" recommendation.

40 RWHP and 100-ft/lb TQ: Tow Tune, made specifically for towing. DiabloSport recommended weight limitations based on manufacturer suggested limits for the vehicle.

65 RWHP and 150-ft/lb TQ: Economy Performance Tune, designed for Economy and Performance, fuel economy depends solely on driving style, and will vary from vehicle to vehicle. DiabloSport recommended weight limitations of 8,000 Lbs.

pilot just curious to know if you are still running the stock exhaust,I bought a predator and am not sure what tune I should use ,my toy hauller is about the same weight as your trailer,I am thinking about a 4 inch exhaust but have read about drone noise with them,I like quiet so would like to keep the stock exhaust if possible and be able to run the 65 hp tune.

I have 20K miles towing with the Edge Juice on the 65 HP setting. I installed gauges with the juice. For the first few years these trucks were out that was the consensus on this forum and the Diesel Page. There were a few times my EGT would have gone in the red before the auto shift to fourth. After I installed the four inch that problem went away. It has pretty much driven itself for the last 15K. I have always pulled at least 10.5K pounds and am up to 12.5K now. The only time the trans goes over 185 is in stop and go. Later! Frank
