I have a '97 Sierra 6.5TD, and cannot locate the PCM. Do diesels not have one? They must! All my manuals show it located on the drivers front fender, between the battery and the fuse box, next to the ABS. If that is supposed to be the location, mine is not there. Or do the 1996-2000 diesels have some other form of electronic control?

The PCM on a the EFI trucks is behind the glovebox.

its kind of a pain to get to and remove. you have to remove the glove box then fight with a bunch of wires to remove it.

Unplug the connectors first and pull it toward you. Nothing to it.

Thank You all, I thought I was going crazy. There is a large mounting bracket on the wheel well, but nothing bolted to it. I couldn't imagine how the vehicle was able to run without a computer. Thanks again.
