I'd like to do my own oil changes but I can't seem to find the right size container. Any ideas

I use the neighbor's back yard.):h):h

Seriously, just shop around. Some Wal-Marts and just about every auto parts store sell an oil drain pan that holds 12 or 15 quarts. Check around.

I use a round 15 qt pan. I can usually fit the Dmax's oil and one of the small blocks oil before dumping it.

Bought mine at Walmart. It is a black rectangular one with two drain tapered plugs to allow the oil to go into the holding tank. Just remember to open the drain plug on the side of the holding tank also to allow air out or it bubbles and splashes oil out onto the floor.

I got mine from Walmart as well. Warning: Don't let your crankcase drain plug fall into the top of the drain pan while changing your oil. It will plug the drain hole, flood the top of your drain pan and cause the oil to leak all over your garage floor. (or so I've been told :shootself )

I have old drain pans I used on my gassers so they are not big enough by themselves for the d/a. I stack them on ea. other, pull the plug wait until one is half full, pull it off and let the other one get the rest. The one that is half full I then set under the filter, pull it off and allow the truck to set for up to an hour like this. I even turn the engine over once or twice (not allowing it to start of course) during this prolong drain time to get even more old oil out. I found that the new oil stays cleaner longer this way. When done, I pitch the newspaper that is under the drain pans and take old oil to Auto Zone.

I also use the black, round 15 quart container and pour it into a 5 gal. plastic pail with the top on tight and will be taking it to a place that takes oil to be recycled.

15 qt pan from autozone. Then transfer it into an old peanut oil jug for my turkey fryer so I can seal it until I get to a place that recycles. I can get two changes in the jug too.
