Well first let me explain i am a race car fabricator with my own business, here is the plan of attack, this summer starting on a 79 trans am dmax ally swap, i have done many custom swaps so the basic cutting welding fabbing is second nature, what i need from everyone here is some input on certain things, for the most part what year is the best, i currently have an 03 LB7, would this be the motor of choice? finding a totalled truck and raping it for parts? or maybe just a motor tranny deal and collect the rest, any good sources on junk or totalled truck? does anyone have the dimensions of the engine itself?

A stand alone controller would make your project much much simpler.

really? didnt know one was offered, we use the FAST XFI on all our turbo gas crap

Eric why not just use a stock dmax ECM and harness, with the VATS turned off in an EFILive tune?

probably much cheaper than the EDC16 standalone....i think thats the one thats availible??
