I own a 2004 Duramax...and I am the origional owner. I am considering towing a 5th wheel with it...but have heard that the LLY model has had some problems with over heating. I currently tow a 30 ft travel trailer with it....and have had no problems. How do I figure out if my truck is a LLY model? Thanks for your help.

The 8th character in your VIN should be a 2 if it is a LLY, if it is a 1, you have an LB7. You can also check in the glove box for a list of RPO codes where you can see if you have a LLY or LB7.

Well that was easy....the eighth character is a number 1 so I have the LB7.
