No,the 15ppm is called ULSD or ultra low sulphur diesel, the red is the old, regular, high level sulphur for off-road iron that is getting harder to find.

In your owners manual you'll see that your engine was designed to run on 500 ppm LSD or 15 ppm ULSD. You've got EGR and an aftercooler that don't like the sulfur [as in sulfuric acid that forms when sulfur in the fuel goes through the EGR system]. You don't want to use the 5000 ppm fuel. It's for earlier engines that don't have the emission controls that your engine has.

The 5000 ppm fuel is for pre-2004 off-road equipment and pre-1998 on-highway trucks.

The 500 ppm is for 1999-2006 on-highway trucks and 2004-2011 off-road equipment.

The 15 ppm is for 2007 on-highway trucks. By 2011 to 2012, everything will need 15 ppm ULSD fuel except possibly marine and locomotive engines.

Run a blend of Bio diesel. It provides all the lubrication needed.
