I went to take off my rear tire today and was in for a suprise. I had my Alcoa Alumnuim rims installed about a year ago, although I watched them do it I didnt watch every move and didn't notice that the lug nuts that come with the Alcoa rim's are not the same size as the factory lug nuts.
The Alcoa's take a 1-1/16 inch socket to take the lug nut's off.
Guess what.... I didn't know that and didn't have a 1-1/16 inch socket in my truck. So for the past year if I had a flat tire I would of been stuck on the side of the road with no way to get the lug nut's off.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Disapprove.gif
Lucky for me I haven't had a flat (knock on wood) but if I do I am now prepared http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif
So for your own good if you have after market rim's make sure you check your NUT size before you leave the house.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif
Good Luck http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Rock On.gif Diesel Dragon http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gif
