Hey. Im new to this forum and I have to say this website is pretty awesome. Looks like there is tons of info about anything u want. Well anyways this spring i plan on gettin a red regular cab longbed chevy hd with the duramax allison combo in it. I want to put the edge juice with attitude monitor in it, k&n cold air, and straight pipe it. My question is will doing all of this shorten the life of the truck? I know the juice puts out tons of power it looks like and it seems to good to be true. Also will straight piping a duramax hurt anything? I know on gassers u kind of screw yourself over by putting on straight pipes. Thanks guys! CHRIShttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Hi Newbie welcome.

As far as longevity you control your destiny. If you can show restraint in peddle depth and performance level you'll be fine. Problem is once you get the feel of the power it's like drugs.

You may want to read the tread Air Study Completed. You may wish to reconsider the K&N.
